our mission

education

EduRise is a holistic education programme that aims to cultivate educational environments where children can learn effectively, supported by confident teachers in a school that strives for excellence. The programme focuses on four key areas: parent and community involvement; school management and leadership; learner development and educator development. It is designed for learners to unlock and develop their full potential through quality education and holistic interventions including: Physical Education, Maths, Science, English, Creative Arts and Environmental Awareness programmes. 

We understand that to bring about lasting change, we have to work within the education system and in partnership with all key role-players. This means the programme is introduced in annual stages based on a school's commitment and if they have met yearly goals. The programme has been implemented in selected primary and high school clusters from low-income communities across South Africa.

These 98 primary schools are part of the MRP Foundation's holistic Schools Programme. Schools clusters are in: Tongaat (20), Hammarsdale (20), QwaQwa (20), Soweto (20) and Mitchell's Plain (18).

Physical education in schools 

These 18 schools enjoy the physical education component of the MRP Foundation's Schools programme. Schools clusters are in QwaQwa (8), Soweto (5) and Mitchell's Plain (5).
